shipped directly from the lithographer to the purchaser. For safety and
cost factors, all original paintings, as well as canvas prints, are
rolled and shipped in mailing tubes unless other arrangements are made
with B. L. Allen.

I can produce
artwork in a variety of mediums, the most popular being oil paint and
charcoal. The starting price for works in oil begins at $2,000,*
depending on composition and source material. Charcoal works begin at
$350 per an individual face, or more if greater scale or multiple faces
are desired (sizes usually begin at 11"x17" ). For specific
pricing on commission work, please contact me.
Due
to the possibility of shipping, original works larger than 36 inches
require special consideration and consultation. Works on canvas may also
be rolled and shipped at less cost.
TERMS and PROCEDURES:
It is important to understand and apply the
following terms and procedures in order to assure that quality and
satisfaction are achieved. This is especially true in the event that a
long-distance arrangement (i.e. greater than forty-five miles) is
necessary.
* 1) If the
artwork is to be done from a client-supplied photo, a consultation
regarding the selection of the photo may be necessary. In the case of a
long-distance arrangement, this can be accomplished via e-mail or
telephone. If the work is to be done from an artist-supplied photo
(which is preferable when possible) then arrangements for a photo
session will need to be made.
2) After
selection of the image, such items as artwork size, medium, production
time, price and mode of delivery are discussed and an agreement is
reached.
3) Upon artist receipt of half the agreed price, production will begin.
4) After the
painting is completed, and final payment received, the artwork will then
be delivered or shipped via USPS or Federal Express, insured. It is
important to note that, since art will be shipped only once, all works
will be considered complete before shipping.
